About
Mr. Hess holds a BS Mechanical Engineering from The University New Hampshire and an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University. He has been certified by NIST-MEP as a Master Trainer and Implementer of Lean Manufacturing and has facilitated Lean workshops both here and abroad. He is Lean Bronze Certified by AME/SME
/Shingo and considered a Lean “sensei.”
Projects
Mr. Hess has been instrumental in developing an alliance with the Lean Aerospace Initiative (LAI) located at MIT and working on a collaborative Enterprise Value Stream Project at a major MA defense contractor. He was the Lead Consultant on a Lean Production System Implementation at a major ships parts contractor which was considered by the sponsoring shipyard to be the premier Lean implementation effort from round one (1) of their National Supply Chain Development effort. That project resulted in a 250% increase in repair capacity for Navy ships parts.
